Protoss lags behind zerg in terms of mobility, and as a result, they might be unable to control the map nearly as well as zerg.

Here are some general ways to win Starcraft 2 Zerg vs Protoss games :
1. expand early
2. Countering zealot rush
When you see this coming, Use spine crawler, queens, and zerglings. You can use transfusion by queen to heal spine crawlers.
3. Prevent Protoss from expanding, don’t allow him to make his natural expansion. Protoss does not have many fast units, so if he expands, send zerglings. Having a pack of zerglings, about 24, head out to the main nexus. You can knock it out, before the slow zealots, stalkers, or sentries can get back in.
4. In mid-game, beef up your natural expansion and build mass hydralisks, roaches, and corruptors(if they have air).
5. Mass infantry. Mix ultralisks, roaches, hydralisks, and infestors.
6. Mass Air. Do not let protoss have mass void rays.

3. Both players expand early.
4. Zerg switches to hydralisks as they take less damage against immortals and better range than roaches.
5. Protoss adds High templar for storm & archons.
6. Zerg builds a bunch of mutalisks, takes protoss by surprise.
7. Zerg keeps protoss from expanding throughout the game.
