Probably for most terrans, playing against other Terrans is not to their liking. This might be because no one lines to have a matchup against their own shadow, an opponent whom they feel can exacty mimic their move. First, you need to be familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of each Terran unit. There are 4 classifications : infantry, mech, air, and support. Each has a specialization, and the best plaers know it is unwise to send them all during battle, and organization in the battle field is key. Doing micro is best for distributing hotkeys.

The videos below feature a Terran vs Terran matchup, displaying some great gameplay by both players, with a seasaw action. Gretorp plays the red terran at the top while Painuser plays the yellow Terran. Painuser focus more on mech build that is fairly Thor-heavy, mixed with marines & vikings. Gretorp focuses on Marauders, on infantries, with few tanks.

In longer games like this, the main strategy is to hurt the opponents player’s economy. Harassing SCV’s, preventing expansions, and counter-attacking is what leads to victory. Mixing units is vital too, you can see a couple times where Gretorp’s marauders just take out Painuser’s Thors so quickly. Also, having a few air units when your enemy has mostly ground army is huge can also be a factor in the end-game.
