The Terran Marine is the most fundamental and basic unit of the Terran army. A Marine is a low cost but highly effective foot soldier and as such is vital to any successful Terran strategy.Marines are generally effective against similar but more expensive units such as the Terran Marauder as Marines are more easily produced and massed, especially if you have a Terran Reactor attached to a Terran Barracks. Marines are most effective when massed together into a “bio ball” that provides the player an effective means to eliminate enemy melee units.
