Best Zerg Counter for Siege Tanks – Shokz Starcraft 2 Strategies to Stop Terran, Anti-siege tank Units

Looking on How to Best Counter Siege Tanks Using Zerg? Siege tanks are a crucial component of Terran’s Mechanical army, hence, they are always seen in a factory with an attached Tech Lab. While they may be expensive, they are preferred by most players for three reasons:

  1. To defend their base
  2. To harass your units especially when on cliffs, and
  3. For slow pushes across a map.

The dangerous thing about siege tanks is when they are not in siege mode, but protected with bunkers and missile turrets—their speed is faster, while its ability to cause full damage against all units is flawless.

;

On the bright side, Zerg is never left without defense. In contrast, zerg has units that can launch attacks and counter attacks big time. For solo attacks, your Queen can carry out impressive jobs of destruction. And so do your Mutalisks.

;

But, if your preferences should vary, there are combinations that can do pretty retaliations against siege tanks. These combinations include Dark Swarms and Zerglings, Banelings and Roaches, and Banelings and Mutalisks.

;
  • Mutalisks - Known for their ability to carry out attacks against multiple targets, mutalisks are best for hard counters against siege tanks, especially if you snipe down each tank. If your mutalisks are upgraded, they can do pretty solo counters. However, if you want to test the ability of your other units, you can release Zerglings and Hydralisks after you have hit pretty hard on these tanks.
  • ;
  • Now you have to understand that your enemy will also use other units such as Thors and Vikings to back their battalion. If such thing happens, amass ultralisks. A large army of ultralisks is required to break through the Terran line, and stand up against any siege tank fire. Your mass ultralisks can do bonus and splash damage to several armored units.
  • Banelings and Roaches – These two units do well if your plan is to unleash a soft counter. Banelings can devise suicide explosions against siege tanks. They can even burrow and detonate. Roaches, on the other hand, do pretty jobs in standing up against attacks by siege tanks; they are difficult to kill because they can easily regenerate. You can take advantage of their ability to move stealthily against opponents while burrowed.
  • ;
  • Banelings and Mutalisks – For air and ground counter attacks, it is always best to destroy tanks with air units with Mutalisks, or  subjugate a few siege tanks with explosion from a group of banelings.
