Zerg are known to be terrifying, ruthless creatures, and also with their dedication for their genetic perfection. Zerg uses live organisms to be able to sustain their own kind. They don’t use advance technological units like Terran and Protoss. Zerg uses their expertise in mutation to be able to survive, produce their own kind and to be able to sustain themselves.

One of the most important structures of Zerg is the Creep. It is a requirement in building other Zerg units and structures. Before you will be able to create a creep, you will need a Hatchery. There are a lot of functions and uses of the Creep. They are:

• Nourishes Zerg units and buildings around it

These are just some of the common functions of a Creep. For Zerg Players, unfortunately, The creep is one of the under estimated structure. Sadly, some players focus more with direct combat. Firstly, Zerg units are able to increase their movement speed because of the Creep. It adds an additional 30% of their speed. Secondly, the opponent won’t be able to build directly near the Creeps. This is very helpful in denying expansion of your enemy. Third in line is that it helps in giving vision what the opponent is doing and will be doing. It can help you prepare for whatever strategy your enemy is using. Fourth, it allows you to build some helpful units like the Spores and Spine Crawlers in any location of the map.

For you to be able to spread creeps, use Overlords. Most of the high-leveled Players of Zerg are able to spread creeps all over the area of the map before the game ends. Even if they are busy with the direct combat on the enemy, they still managed to do this without any difficulty. For you to be able to accomplish this, you will need to upgrade to a Lair. This will allow your Overlords to be able to spread your Creeps automatically. It would be best to have your Overlords on empty areas of the map and wait for your enemy’s expansion. For a certain, your enemy will try to kill your Overlords and right after killing it, they will try to send out a number of units to be able to expand. However, you have the Creeps and they will actually persist for about 30 seconds and will give you time for you to stop your enemy from expanding.

Always remember that whatever strategy you are using, it is always best to have a Plan B. Just in case Plan A fails, you will have a counter attack to whatever happens in game. Keep a clear mind while playing and don’t let your emotions get in to you. While building your base, always have enough number of units to be able to scout around and prepare for any early rush attack from your enemy. Through this, you won’t be surprised and panic.
